Past and present controls on bed evolution, sediment distribution, and transport capacities in the Rhône River (supplementary funding proposal to the postdoc application)

This resquest for funding corresponds to the application for a 1-yr postdoc through the LABEX-DRIIHM / OHM VR as part of this current call submitted by Michal Tal and with the same title as this project. The request is therefore only valid if the postdoctoral funding is granted. If it is, the funding requested here is intended to cover the costs for the postdoc (Daniel Vazquez Tarrio) to participate in one international conference (e.g., AGU, EGU…etc) and one smaller conference/workshop in France (e.g. the workshop on river morphodynamics planned in the fall of 2017 at IRSTEA – Lyon) in order to present the results of the study. In addition, the funding will be used to cover the costs of frequent travel needed between Aix-en-Provence and Lyon in order to meet with the other researchers collaborating on the study – H. Piégay (EVS/UMR 5600) and B. Camanen (IRSTEA – Lyon).
